In late 19th Century Russia, an ill sinner confesses to God about his wrecked behavior and absent faith. A question is raised... If he chooses to let himself die, will he suffer for eternity, or will he rest in peace?

Inspiration Behind the Film

Confession was based off a long-form poem written by Anastasia Norenko.

Norenko took a unique approach to the cinematography of Confession, shooting the entire film in one take without further editing. Megapolis, a well-known rock band from Moscow, created the music for the film in the same manner - a 12 minute piece that has no edits.
