scratch scratch is a horror short film that anastasia created during the covid-19 pandemic based off THE FAIRY TALE BY ALEXANDER AFANASYEV "THE BEAR, THE DOG AND THE CAT". IT WAS AN OFFICIAL SELECTION AT THE 2021 RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL HORROR FILM AWARDS.

Inspiration Behind the Film
Norenko wrote Scratch Scratch in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and thus only had a chance to make it at home with her family members as actors.
"I thought it would be a good idea to use one of the Russian folk tales that my grandfather told me many times when I was a child as a plot for my short film", Norenko said. "In this film I tried to recreate the image and atmosphere of Russian folklore, as well as use some of the horror film tropes to set the right tone of the story".
