Anastasia Norenko is a fast-rising international filmmaker who writes, directs and produces. She is recognized for her role as director of On the Third Step, a short film that received numerous awards and nominations in 2022, as well as an EP role in Iron Sky and its sequel, Iron Sky: The Coming Race. She also wrote and directed Scratch Scratch, a horror film that was featured at the 2021 Russian International Horror Film Awards. Her latest film, Confession, is appearing at international film festivals this year.

 

Norenko’s moody style and perspective are shaped by her experience growing up in Moscow, her love of poetry, and a lifelong fascination with photography and storytelling. She began making films as a child and earned a degree in film studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
